Istria Wine & Walk

The concept of Istria Wine & Walk is simple: you’re given a glass and a trail map to enjoy an invigorating 11-kilometer walk. As you walk along the trail you’ll reach seven stops for refreshment and a table laden with Istrian specialties, food from Istria cities. It is held every year in May.

Kvarner region is especially well-known among wine lovers thanks to its Žlahtina variety. Every summer there is an event organised in the appreciation of this variety, which represents a delightful way to experience Žlahtina but also other wines from this region.

Days of Žlahtina Wine

The well-known Žlahtina grape variety from Vrbnik is an indigenous variety of white wine that can be found on the island of Krk, in a picturesque vineyard belonging to the town of Vrbnik. Days of Žlahtina Wine festival offers wine tasting booths from renowned wineries on Island of Krk. Some of the most renowned wineries of Kvarner region are also featured there, such as Gospoja, Katunar and Šipun wineries.
